Delegation from School of Foreign Languages of Yantai University, led by Gong Weidong, the dean of School of Foreign Languages, and his 6 colleagues from different apartments, visited the School of Foreign Studies on May 7, 2021. Mao Haoran, dean of School of Foreign Studies, Zhang Yongning, secretary of school Party Committee, Sun Daman, Guo Yueqin and other directors participated in this meeting.
On behalf of the School of Foreign Studies of UPC, Dean Mao Haoran expressed a warm welcome to Gong Weidong and his delegation, and introduced to the guests the basic situation of the SFS and the efforts made in establishing first-class courses and first-class majors. deputy dean Sun Daman made a presentation on the experience of our graduate school. Dean Gong Weidong fully affirmed the achievements made by our college in establishing first-class undergraduate courses, first-class majors and postgraduate training, and had a heated discussion and in-depth communication on building characterized majors, curriculum, appointing and establishing tutors, part-time postgraduates management, etc. Before the symposium, secretary Zhang Yongning led dean Gong Weidong and his delegation to visit the cultural gallery of the school. After the symposium, Dean Gong Weidong and his party attended the Foreign Language Corner of UPC, experiencing the construction of foreign language culture in our university.
This research deepened the understanding between the two sides in professional construction, postgraduate training and faculty construction, and promoted the exchange and cooperation between the two schools in professional construction and discipline construction.
