School of Foreign Studies’ 1st Reception Day

To build a platform for communication between the leaders, and the faculty and students, as well as to improve the efficiency of teaching, research and administrative management, the School of Foreign Studies has started to hold Reception Day from this semester. Through face-to-face communication between the faculty, students and the leaders, the School can continuously improve and enhance the level and quality of management and services.

On March 10, 2021, the School held the first reception day. Dean Mao Haoran, Vice Deans Sun Daman and Han Shuqin, Party Secretary of the School of Foreign Studies Zhang Yongning, and Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Foreign Studies Zou Weizhong participated in the activity and communicated with four teachers and graduate students respectively. Those five leaders answered questions including professional curriculum reform, graduate student internship practice and graduate student employment, and protection of female students' rights and interests.

Professor Mao says that many students may confront with the problems proposed today. He hopes that the student participating in today’s activity would share the solution with other students.

Professor Zhang says that the Reception Day is a specific measure to implement the rectification opinions. The School of Foreign Studies will carry out in-depth work to settle various problems raised by teachers and students, try to create a positive environment, promote discipline construction and improve the quality of talent training.

The Reception Day will be held regularly at four pm on Wednesday of the second week of each month in the Academic Lecture Hall. The activity is conducted by appointment system. The faculty leaders will make full preparation for each problem and demand collected in advance in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the activity.
