Students of the School of Foreign Studies Performed Well in the Regional Contest of the Ninth National Interpretation Contest (English)

The Regional Contest of the Ninth National Interpretation Contest (English) was held online on August 29^th and 30^th.

Through selection and training, 6 students joined the contest on behalf of Shandong Division. And after fierce competition, ZhaoYao, majoring in English, and Yu haodong, majoring in MTI got the third prize, while other 4 students of English major, Wang Yan, Zhao Huan, Ma Shuang and Deng Yuyan won excellent award. Instructor teachers Li Yanyun and Zhu Shan of English Language and Literature Department won the title of excellent instructor.

This contest shows the students’ interpretation capacity and excellent English application ability and comprehensive quality, and expands the influence of our university on translation teaching and research. On the other hand, the participating students also accumulate fruitful translation practice which will provide precious reference for cultivation of translation talents and the further improvement on practical capacity of English major students.
