Students of School of Foreign Studies Won Prizes on Shandong Province Quarter-final of 9th All China Interpreting Contest

        Affected by COVID-19, the 9th All China Interpreting Contest(ACIC) (English) Quarter-final of Shandong Province was held online from June 20th to 21st. 14 students in our School achieved excellent performance after the early selection, two-month professional training,and three-round fierce competition.

         After the evaluation, our students won three first prizes, two second prizes, one third prize, and many awards of excellence, winning honors for our School and University. Among them, six students have been promoted to Regional Competition of 9th ACIC on behalf of the school. Li Yanyun and Zhu Shan won the title of excellent instructor.

 

 

        As a nationwide contest, ACIC plays an important role for college students in showing the practical abilities of English interpretation. It has been held nine times in a row, with the aim of cultivating professional talents in translation and language service industry. It also aims to promote the construction of translation discipline and the prosperity and development of language service industry. Better service, therefore, can be provided for the overall national development and the construction of international communication capacity with high-quality language service talents.
