Recently, Professor Sun Daman and her team were awarded the first prize in the third Teaching Achievement Award for Postgraduate Education, for their work of “The Reform Practices in the High-quality Russian MTI Training Mode with Energy Characteristics in the Background of the Belt and Road Initiative.”
The selection was divided into three parts: personal application, recommendation from school and university evaluation. 17 achievements were awarded, including 2 special prizes, 5 first prizes and 10 second prizes. The achievement of Professor Sun Daman’s team is a result of nine-year exploration and practice. It effectively solves the four problems that have long restricted the cultivation of professional Russian MTI: homogeneity of the training goal, fossilization of practice bases, simplification of cultivating method, and loosening of the management system. It has clarified the training characteristics, improved students’ translation skill, expanded students’ international vision and achieved great success in both talent cultivation and teaching team building.
The award of Professor Sun and her team fully reflects the recognition of the university for postgraduate teaching, which stimulates the enthusiasm and creativity of teachers to carry out teaching research and reform practice, and encourages them to make continuous efforts to improve the postgraduate education and talent training quality.
