A Session Held on Overseas Exchange Projects

To boost our discipline development,  serve the Belt and Road Initiative, cultivate international talents, and promote opening-up, our college held a session on studying abroad in the Room 100 of Nanjiao Building on October 18th. The lecture was hosted by Sun Daman, deputy dean of the College of Arts. Wu Kehua, Deputy director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department,  explained and publicized their programs with other teachers.The undergraduate and graduate students of our college  who were interested in studying abroad participated in the this meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, Sun Daman introduced the overall situation of international studies in our college. Afterwards, the project leaders introduced ten projects including the National Student Program, the CSC Outstanding Undergraduate Program and the Joint Training Program, the Inter-school Joint Training and the Master’s Cooperation Program,and Germany excellent university project. They illustrated characteristics of these projects, the registration process, cost and guidance for the future development of students. Finally, Wu Kehua summarized and guided the planning of studying abroad. She pointed out that it cannot only broaden the horizon, improve foreign language competence, expand social network, and lay a solid foundation for their future, but also help students make greater contributions to the society. Although we are in a university of science and engineering, it does not mean that the liberal arts students will be stifling here. Furthermore, more and more diverse choices will be provided for you.” Wu Kehua said.

This meeting will be helpful to deepen our students’ understanding of relevant overseas projects, expand their outlook, enhance international awareness, clarify the future development path, and help improve the quality of international talent training in our college and create a good atmosphere of studying abroad.
