On October 19th,2018, the conference of joint training base for MTI between China University of Petroleum and Beris Engineering and Research Corporation was successfully held in BERIS Building. The conference was chaired by Zhao Zhonghui,the director of the department of translation and interpreting of BERIS. All delegates attending this conference include the deputy general manager Song Yong, the deputy chief economist Cui Zhenghua, the head of human resources Ma Zhenchun from BERIS, the dean from College of Arts Wang Xuedong, the director of postgraduate degree office Lu Hushengand the deputy dean Sun Daman from College of Arts.
Song Yong first extended welcome for the visit of Wang Xuedong and other principals.He pointed out that as a key comprehensive university with distinctive professional characteristics, UPC has provided a large number of youth talents with excellent expertise and all-round qualities to BERIS in recent years. There is a wide potential for cooperation between UPC and BERIS.Taking the MTI practice teaching base as a fulcrum, we will extend cooperation field, utilize all advantages to explore cooperation patterns in the research and development of advanced technologies, patent transformation and mobile post-doctoral station in group.
Wang Xuedong showed his appreciation for the warm reception and vigorous support from BERIS and confirmed that both sides have made new progress in talent training, academic exchange and other fields. Wang said, “The university-enterprise cooperation aims to bring common development of students, universities and enterprises.We should have fully exchanges and deepen mutual cooperation. Meanwhile,we hope that through close cooperation with BERIS, we can broaden the professional fields and establish a multidisciplinary, high-level comprehensive talent incubator.”
The construction project of postgraduate joint training base is one of Postgraduate Education Quality Improvement Plan of Shandong province.The selected joint training base should be industries enterprises that serve as competitive platforms with high-quality education resources and training resources. Besides, China University of Petroleum specially offered the first batch of teaching equipment for the joint training base to BERIS, and both sides have attended the equipment handover ceremony.
