Orientation of Translation Studies from the Perspective of Russian-Soviet Comparative Literature,a paper authored by Dr. Jin Fang in College of Arts and originally published on Russian Literature and Art (2018, No.1), was reprinted in full text byReplicated Journals of RUC(2018, No.6).

The publication of the paperwas a phased achievement of the Humanities and Social Sciences Youth ProjectResearch onLiterary Tradition of Russian Translation Thoughts and Theories.

Dr. Jin, the leader of the project,holds that the Russian-Soviet comparative literature greatly influences and even determines the orientation of Russian-Soviet translation studies via historical comparison method.

She also believes that Russian-Soviet translation studies has unique features in contrast to that in Europe and the United States.

Firstly, these translation studies have made different achievements in research register, orientation, and dimension. Secondly, its subjects have been studied earlier with a broader view and modern method, such as inter-ethnic literature, world literature and translation, the social function of literary translation, the relationship between translation literature and national literature and the history of translation thoughts. Thirdly, Russian-Soviet translation studies assumes interdisciplinary perspective and ethnicity orientation at earlier time.
