The 8th Russian Literature and Art national academic frontier forum was held successfully in UPC on July 6-8. It was organized by Russian Literary Association of China and the editorial office of Russian Literature and Art , and cohosted by our college.
The opening ceremony of the forum, chaired by Prof. Wang Xuedong, dean of College of Arts, took place on July 6th in our campus. The forum is commited to boost exchanges and cooperation between universities, will surely be helpful for the development of art disciplines in our university. said Prof. Zhang Lingling, vice President of UPC.
Speeches were also given by, Zheng Tiwu, vice President of China’s Russian literature research association and professor of Shanghai International Studies University, and Xia Zhongxian, editor-in-chief of Russian literature and art.
The ceremony was also attended by Jin Yujie, director of the Administration Office of Liberal Arts, Zhang Yongning, secretary of the party committee of the college, deputy dean Sun Daman, Wei Xuebao and other scholars.
With the theme of “Russian literature in world literary context”, this conference features diverse topics ranging from the freedom thoughts of Dostoyevsky, the mode and generation mechanism of Sino-Russian cultural dialogue to the perspective of dialogue theory. Prestigious experts in this field discussed Russian literature in a multi-dimensional and multi-level way.
The closing ceremony was chaired by deputy dean Sun Daman. Zheng Tiwu and Xia Zhongxian respectively gave speeches on 7th July.
Academic pioneering forum “Russian Literature and Art” is a yearly national conference initiated by its editorial office in 2011. It has become an influential platform for scholars on Russian literature and linguistics to share opinions.
