Lu Zhimin and Jiang Wenli, students of College of Arts, act as escort interpreters for delegation of “Sino-German Future Bridge”, Youth Leaders Cooperation Meeting. The meeting is held in the Sino-German Ecopark in West-Coast New Area of Qingdao from March 23th to 25th. The excellent performance of the two students is highly appreciated by the delegation, setting up outstanding image and promoting the international influence for UPC.
On March 24th, the delegation is invited to visit the flagship store of Youth House, a platform especially for youths’ development, accompanying with Yuan Li, Chief Director of International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the League, Han Changli, Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party committee of Qingdao and Feng Hongzhen, Secretary of Youth League Committee of West-Coast New Area of Qingdao.
On Jan. 7th, 2011, Vice Premier Li Keqiang and German Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Guido Westerwelle once reached a consensus on the further development of Sino-German relations and expected to enhance exchanges among youths between two countries. Since 2012, six sessions have been successfully held to invite more than 150 experts to make lectures and welcome over 180 youths to take part in the event.
Organized by Committee of Sino-German Ecopark of Qingdao and Zhongde Group, with the host of China International Youth Exchange Center, Qingdao Youth Federation and Committee of West-Coast New Area of Qingdao, All-China Youth Federation and Stiftung Mercator initiate and support this event. It attracts more than 20 youth representatives from government departments, industrial sectors and other research institutions. With the theme of green development, the meeting aims at finding a new path to achieve win-win cooperation and deepen mutual trust between the two countries on the energy saving and environmental protection.
