On December 18th, Students from UPC achieved two prizes in the National Speech Competition.
The final matchof Shandong Provincewas held in Qingdao University.After fierce rivalries of prepared speech, impromptu speech and onstage Q&A, two students Tan Yu (a graduate from College of Petroleum Engineering, tutored by Wang Yan) and Xiang Bo (a sophomore from College of Petroleum Engineering, tutored by Wu Qian)headed by teacher Wang Yan won the second and the third prize respectfully.
Founded in 1996, hosted by China Daily and undertaken by 21st Century English education Media, “21st Century Coca-Cola Cup” Speech Competition is the only trialof the World Public Speech Competition held in London annually, as well as one of the top-class and the most influential English Learning Contests in domestic academic community.
