On October 18 to 19, teachers of College of Arts attended the national foreign language teaching development seminar and the teaching methods innovation workshop in Beijing, held by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press.
The seminar launched a discussion of Unipus, a digital platform of foreign language teaching. Based on advanced information technology, Unipus originated from innovative education, featuring in foreign language education. It is called the Universal Campus, which integrates learning, teaching, assessment, scientific research, cooperation and communication all together. Unipus reflects the trend of intelligence, interaction, independence and mobilization of education technology, and creates an educational environment participated by learners, educators, researchers, managers, education resources and service providers. At the seminar, representatives of some domestic universities with advanced digital curriculum construction and experts on education technology respectively made special reports, discussing the trend of digitalization of foreign language teaching in the future, the transformation of foreign language teaching mode, and the transformation of teacher's role along with it.
National foreign language teaching methods innovation workshop focused on teaching concept, principle and design of "micro-class", shared teaching practice, experience and outputs on "micro-class". By exploring its effect and advantage on new media teaching, it can better provide teachers with innovative teaching mode and teaching method.
