In order to meet the needs of new teaching concepts and improve class teaching, teachers from all English departments attended a training seminar of “micro class” making held in Arts & Science Building on 26th September.
At the beginning, Wang Xinbo, the vice dean, made a brief introduction about the purpose and meaning of this training. Sun Jiping detailedly demonstrated how to make micro class by virtue of the coursemaker software and shared her experience in making micro class with the teachers present. All the teachers showed great interest in this new teaching approach and got a preliminary knowledge about it.
As an effective way for cognitive learning of fragmentary knowledge, micro class has been extensively used nowadays. One of series of activities for the professional development of teachers in the College of Arts, this seminar will play an active role in promoting the faculty’s ability of applying information technology to practice and enhancing their information attainments.
